I feel the word champion means to successfully overcome something that’s difficult, or something that’s existed and been a heavy burden. Equally, it can mean to win something, like competitive sports. In terms of both of these categories, I don’t fit neatly into one or the other.
Day 11: Something at which you’ve been the champion at.
I was never a sporty person growing up, I was always slim and skinny so fitness was not my biggest priority, least of all as a sport. And, though I’ve done my fair share of overcoming, who hasn’t? It’s something that we all share, as human beings, we go through hardships some similar and some completely different.
The one thing I consider myself a champion at is surviving, I go through things and I manage to come out the other side, I’ve no idea how exactly, and of course I don’t come out completely unscathed. But so far I’ve survived every single worst day possible which is a great, building up the resilience means I’m more likely to survive even more horrific things if they occur. Fingers crossed they won’t.
