I find it a little ironic that today’s prompt is about balance, when my life has been anything but balanced lately. I’ve fallen off with my regular routines, partly due to external circumstances that I can’t change, but I’ve been lacking in the self-care/healthy lifestyle department anyway. In a way, this will serve as a good reminder as to why I need balance, everyone does. As they say, too much of a good thing is not good at all.
Day 5, we can do this…
Day 5: Something in life that gives you balance.
The best thing that gives me balance is knowing that I have a set routine that includes both work and play, too much work leads me to feel overwhelmed and burnt out, and too much play leads to being unproductive, lazy and pretty much sleeping throughout the day. Since we’re entering a new season and a new academic year, I’m going to try and make a better effort to re-vamp my routines and make them more suitable, for work and play.
