Since I’ve been on a major hiatus from the end of December and now I’m starting to ease myself into the blogosphere again and continue with my regular upload schedule (more at the end) I only saw it fit, now that we are nearing the end of February to give you all an update.

So far since I’ve been ‘back’ technically not officially, more like periodically, I’ve posted twice on my struggles, first on dealing with inner conflicts and negative situations and the second on the flipside of that, where my stressor was dealt with and my life was finally not completely back on track.

However, that’s not to say the entirety of my life went completely awry when I myself was stuck in a negative mindset. One of the goals I had personally set myself which was from a self-care aspect I’ve managed to have it become a part of my daily life. It’s a combination of working out, pilates along with yoga to improve my flexibility. Despite the fact that my flexibility still needs a lot of work, I’ve managed to get a lot of implicit benefits such as a clearer mindset, improved mood and just a general sense of improved well-being.

Another aspect I specifically mentioned in my 2018 goals post was to be more intentional with what I consume, the idea of knowing how certain things affect me and ways in which I can turn that around. That too I’ve managed to cultivate in my daily life, I find myself spending less time on social media where I’m consuming mindless and even somewhat harmful content to reading and even listening to podcasts. Just by making a simple transfer from my phone to other outlets I find myself feeling better and finding more useful ways to spend my downtime.

The best thing that’s come out of me trying to pursue my goals this year is my mindset and well-being, these daily habits which started off as simple sentences on a page 2 months ago, have become reality and it’s not just the fact that they’ve become real that’s uplifting to me, but the fact that I’ve already in just 2 months gained so much out of it. It’s very much the idea that it’s not what you get by achieving your goals that’s important, it’s what you become by achieving your goals.

P.P.S I’ve managed to come up with a regular upload schedule, it will be twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays, see you then!!
