Habits of Highly Successful People #5 & FREE PRINTABLE!!

Success to many people seems like an ideal that’s too good to be true, something utterly unattainable yet they’ll spend their whole lives trying to reach this goal. But what if I said, this apparent non-existent ideal can be reached, can be attained and most of all can be a part of your life.

However, if you’re not willing to work hard or to possibly make some sacrifices, then you can never truly achieve success, because success, to become successful isn’t and shouldn’t be a temporary goal. Success is a lifestyle, it’s perseverance and ultimately it’s working to the absolute best of your ability.

In my last four posts, I’ve mentioned 4 habits that a successful person practices and hence develops. And because success is a lifelong journey there are an infinite number of daily habits an individual can practice and implement. Remember, you will never regret reaching your goal, you will only regret giving up and not trying harder.

  1. Keep a journal, this seems a little out of the box but keeping note of events, emotions, and memories can give you both a valuable keepsake but also help you deal with stressful events. Letting go of those powerful feelings will give you a clearer mindset and lift the weight off your shoulders.
  2. Practice gratitude, just like keeping a journal, practicing the art of gratitude is a powerful tool, it enables you to live in the present moment and become a happier, more positive person. It’s all about making those small changes to your mindset.
  3. Listen to others, you’ve probably already heard the saying ‘listen more, talk less’ which is important, by listening you learn more about others giving you chance to build a successful partnership, all because you took the time to listen, and hence understand.
  4. Take risks, sometimes in life people become used to living in stagnation, and with stagnation comes nothing, literally nothing. By taking risks you dive into the unknown and only in the unknown can you learn more about yourself and your capabilities. At times, a risk can become a new opportunity, a new success.

  1. Great post! 🙂 I totally agree with all of these…especially #1. Journals can be saviors…I can’t even count the number of times I’ve turned to mine when I needed to get something off my chest. Plus it’s nice to know that in 20 or 30 years I’ll have something to look back on.
    I need to get better at practicing gratitude. As much as I hate to say it, I’m a complainer…not something I’m proud of, but lately I’ve been working on just appreciating the little things.
