Unique Blogger Award #2

This is the first ever award nomination I’ve ever received since starting my blog in June 2016, and of course, I’m incredibly honoured and also incredibly grateful for the individual who nominated me, the brains behind the amazing blog Alikerofthings, Shameez.

The rules attached to this award are:

  1. Mention the blogger who nominated you
  2. List the rules
  3. Answer three questions
  4. Nominate 15 bloggers for the award
  5. Ask them three new questions

The questions that Alikerofthings chose were:

  • If you could trade lives with a fictional character who would it be?

If I could trade lived with a fictional character it would most likely be Sherlock Holmes, the original version from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s books, he is one of my favourites and it would be absolutely incredible to get inside his mind and be able to experience it, first hand.

  • Favourite villain and why?

My favourite villain, though I’m not one for villainous characters, would essentially be Moriarty, again from the books, he is typically an old fashioned villain with many great qualities, with one amazing feature, a skill set exactly like Holmes’s, except on the other end of the spectrum.

  • If you could control one element, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind – which would it be?

Out of the four options, the one that appeals to me the most is Earth, I think of it as the power to somehow create new life, getting serious Moana vibes here, the power to be grounded and in touch with the inner self. Yet this in itself seems like a huge responsibility.

Now time for the exciting bit, the award nominations, the fact that I’ve engaged with so many bloggers recently has made me and my blog a lot more open to others, so here are the individuals who deserve the award because of their hard working efforts:

  2. What is your favourite memory from childhood?

Bedtime stories – every evening after our bath and pyjamas my parents would take it in turns to read us a bedtime story, snuggled up with blankets, a favourite toy and hot chocolate. It really instilled in us a love for reading and I do the same with my children now!

If there one thing you could change about the world, what would it be?

I know it’s an obvious one – But world peace would be nice, wouldn’t it?!

What dream of yours would you like to see come true?

To raise happy, healthy adults. There’s nothing else that I want more.

    Thanks again. X

  3. Thank you, Afiyah 🙂 Your appreciation means a lot to me. I don’t post awards either but I am very happy to answer your questions here.

My favourite memory would be running to my grandmother’s garden and picking up strawberries and fallen apricots in the shade of the tree, and stock them neatly in my little basket, before I would carry them proudly to my family.

I would use a magic wand, and make sure our planet’s ground gets redistributed evenly, thus kicking war’s butts, quenching thirst and striking away hunger from our world.

I want to be creative, spread passion and love around me. If I can meet lovely people in the process, create unbreakable bonds, write down great stories and heartfelt songs, I will be very happy.

Please share your answers to these questions too, Afiyah. I would love to read them 🙂
